Departmental Activities 
Students in the Department of Modern & Classical Languages participate in outreach activities in local communities. They serve as tutors and they host students from local high schools for language immersion experiences. Students in the Department have also participated in the Challenge and Pathways to Success Programs and have used their skills in the foreign language to serve as campus guides to visitors from other countries. In March, the Department of Modern & Classical Languages annually celebrates National Foreign Language Week. The activities for the week include a variety of international cuisines, the flag raising ceremony, film series, lectures and a dance with international music to end the week's activities.
