RECYCLEMANIA PARTICIPANT

A gentle reminder- Recycling Receptacles are for Recyclables ONLY- no TRASH Please. 
Please KINDLY separate commingled (glass, plastic, and aluminum) in green bins or appropriately marked containers from the paper.   

What do WE recycle? 

Saint Vincent College Recycles the following items:

Glass

Plastic

Aluminum and Bi-metal Cans

Cardboard

Paper- office paper, computer paper, colored paper, magazines, envelopes with/without windows, and newspaper, phonebooks, and soft backed catalogs.  Paper can be put into bins with or without staples.  Please do not recycle GLOSSY Paper.

Computer Printer Ink Cartridges

Where do you recycle THESE ITEMS?

Recycling receptacles are MARKED and located in office spaces, at the end of hallways and/or corridors around campus and residence halls.

  • BLUE bins are for PAPER.
  • GREEN bins are for GLASS, PLASTIC, and ALUMINUM.
  • Ink Cartridge Mailers located at Post Office and outside the Environmental Education Center Office- Chemistry Building Room 102.

Place your recyclables from your office space, residence hall room, or before and after classes in these designated areas.

THINGS TO REMEMBER WHEN RECYCLING

·        Please WASH all bottles and cans before placing them in receptacles when possible.  This limits insects and smells from the bins until they are picked-up and moved to a central location.

·        Please use designated recycling bins only.  RECYCLING BINS are for recyclable items ONLY, please do not place trash in these containers!  Please take the time to recycle.
